SOLD - Norton Featherbed Rolling Chassis 1953

This early Norton Featherbed bolt up chassis was manufactured in 1953 and left the factory as a Dominator 88.  It would make an ideal project for a cool street racer of Triton.

As will be noted from the photographs it has had some modifications for a conversion to a track racer or Triton.

The specification is as follows

  • Manufactured in December 1953

  • Bolt up featherbed frame

  • Correct period swinging arm

  • Shortened rear mudguard support

  • 1956/7 front wheel hub laced to aluminum flanged rim

  • Standard rear hub with later brake plate, laced to flanged aluminium rim

  • Aluminium racing/Triton type fuel tank painted grey and showing a few minor imperfections.

  • Aluminium racing type center oil tank

  • Short racing seat

  • Clip on handlebars
