SOLD - MATCHLESS G3L 1943 350cc
This original bike is from contract S.1050 dated 1st October 1942. It was retained by the Army after WW2 and was not released until it was sold at Ruddington auctions on 22nd November 1962. The original Ministry of Supply data plate is still attached to the toolbox lid which gives the post war army registration number and confirms that it was overhauled in January 1953. The bike is in complete running order and included in the sale are very good quality reproduction pannier bags.
The bike was fully restored about 5 years ago which included a full engine rebuild and all mechanical parts were overhauled or replaced as necessary. It took part in the D Day celebrations in Normandy 2019 where it performed well and has been recently recommissioned and serviced by us.
